Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-18
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Covly. By using Covly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service description
Covly is an AI-powered cover letter and resume-tailoring tool. You can paste a job description and submit your resume, and Covly generates a cover letter and tailored resume bullets targeted at that specific role. Covly also operates a waitlist that collects early-access email addresses before the public launch of paid features.
License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Covly for your own job-application purposes. The license is for one individual — you may not share your account with others or resell access.
You may not scrape, harvest, or redistribute the cover letters or other generated output from Covly at scale. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or model weights of the underlying AI that powers Covly.
You are responsible for the resume content you upload and the job descriptions you submit. You confirm that you have the right to use the resume content you provide, and you agree not to use Covly for any unlawful purpose.
No warranty
Covly is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the cover letters or resume bullets we generate will land you any specific job, interview, or outcome — AI-generated career materials are tools, not guarantees.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of Covly is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. During the free and waitlist period, your fees are zero, so the cap is effectively zero.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost interviews, lost offers, or lost employment opportunities.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Covly will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
